Why is it that sagitira's experience can be analyzed and reinterpreted to support the false hopes here many have been given? Yet, when it is clear that readers have been WRONG for so many, a select few want to pull apart every last detail of someone else's experience and offer delusional explaination for why the reading didn't "pan out".
Plain and simple, the reader was wrong! Sagitirias experience is hers and hers alone. Reality is the here and now, false hope is choosing not to see what is NOW because a reader told you it isn't so!
This forum is not negative, reality is taking place and SOME people recognize reality vs fantasy.
It is a choice to call reader after reader hoping to hear what you want to hear. The forum has spoke many truths, however, some choose not to believe the truth even when it is right in front of their face.
Zee:
Honestly, I don't believe that was anyone's intent. Place any of our names in Sagitira's story as a substitute, because many of us have been where she was (she and her story was just an example). I was only offering up another alternative as to why opposites manifest based on my experiences due to what has happened to me.
In no way, shape or form could I even imagine swaying anyone to believe in false hope.
We all come upon our own understanding in time, when we're ready.
Happy Friday everyone! ::)
Bark angel:
Give over, please. You know that the essence of the post is to move forward and let things unfold in their own time!

How long would you wait for something to present itself, while reality starkly draws an alternative picture? If armed with such faith and trust in your gut/intuition above all else, why continue to get readings?

So because she acted like a jealous woman, the guy just decided to make his love feelings vanish and never to be heard from again? Please.
If I am jealous and a guy that loves me sees it, he would spill his guts and say how he is only into me and wants me. He wouldn't just decide to "not love me" because I poked him a bit.
Honestly, I find this expectation that we are to be totally passive and just let things happen to us...dysfunctional.

Who said it was jealousy? I am not sure the OP mentioned jealousy at all. And I don't believe the guy vanished either. Point is pressing someone on anything when that person is not inclined is never a good idea, psychic reading or otherwise. If something isn't happening, once has a choice. Stay or leave. Trying to force something had the opposite effect.

I was talking about Sagrita..who was the poster that you were referencing I think. She referenced jealousy, you said she "questioned him".
And Im saying, what is pressuring someone and what is being an adult and putting stuff out there to get feedback? The psychic was wrong in the end and that is all that we can take as fact. Sometimes I feel like we are not supposed to blow in a certain direction lest our predictions don't come to pass. Unhealthy, IMO.

I think we can both agree that acting jealously is not putting stuff out there to get feedback. One is done to evoke a desired response, the other is done to evoke a response regardless of whether it is the desired or not. That said, there is always something to be said for taking control of a situation and determining its fate. I'm not recommending that people put off what they wish to do, like I said you have to go with your gut. However the person that prefers to air the matter now and not wait for the future to unfold is not the ideal candidate for psychic readings in my opinion. If one is not inclined to let things unfold in their own time, why get a psychic reading in the first place? They are mainly to give you a glimpse of what is yet to come, aren't they?

Bark angel:
In all fairness, though, I would not mind at all if the same support (let's call it peanut gallery input) were offered when psychics are accurate. Doesn't happen though. The most outspoken ones (and it is clear which ones are) become completely mute when something happens that proves a psychic to have real talent. Too bad really because I do not think this was the intent of this place at the outset. This forum has taken on a decidedly-negative overtone.

The bolded is what I have issue with. How long does someone "wait for things to unfold" without doing anything "wrong" (aka being a human and having feelings that you want to express to the person)? Is it not possible you will be waiting your life down the drain?
you know what, I may just get pissed, annoyed jealous at the offending party (aka douch boyfriend)..and I should be able to express that and not have him vanish. When a reader says that he will "express his feelings in time"...it should happen no matter what.
Yes, readings should give you a glimpse about what is to come...but those glimpses should be accurate.
