--- Quote from: Zee on March 28, 2014, 02:01:28 PM ---I believe the point is, we would not have blown in a certain direction had we not continually spun on something a reader told us.

--- Quote ---I am not against getting readings; I wouldn't be here if I were. What I am against, is not placing the proper burden upon these readers when they are wrong.
--- End quote ---

You are 1000% percent right about this, as far as I'm concerned because I believe this as well and no one said anything about being passive. Don't get me wrong, I also agree with your sentiment that if I am feeling jealous I would expect my partner to comfort and support me, but to stay in his face and harp about it and continually bemoan our plight will chase anything away.

For one thing, I personally find it detrimental to get a reading about a relationship, considering how volatile emotions are, even if it puts you at ease for the moment.

All I was saying is letting things go (this seems to be the biggest hump for most people) because it's very, very difficult to do. Trust me. Did I say 'very' difficult already?  We don't need to keep grasping for something that we believe should already be ours. This only results in pushing our desires away, which may also explain why time frames keep getting pushed further and further out.

--- End quote ---

And I agree, you shouldn't obssess over something. But letting things go is always a good idea when the person has let go as well. It doesn't mean you will always get what you want either.

Time frames keep coming and going because readers guess and don't have any sense of timing. Or they are just plain wrong.

--- Quote from: Bark angel on March 28, 2014, 02:41:45 PM ---In all fairness, though, I would not mind at all if the same support (let's call it peanut gallery input) were offered when psychics are accurate. Doesn't happen though. The most outspoken ones (and it is clear which ones are) become completely mute when something happens that proves a psychic to have real talent. Too bad really because I do not think this was the intent of this place at the outset. This forum has taken on a decidedly-negative overtone.

--- Quote from: kickingthehabit on March 28, 2014, 02:05:53 PM ---Why is it that sagitira's experience can be analyzed and reinterpreted to support the false hopes here many have been given?  Yet, when it is clear that readers have been WRONG for so many, a select few want to pull apart every last detail of someone else's experience and offer delusional explaination for why the reading didn't "pan out".

Plain and simple, the reader was wrong! Sagitirias experience is hers and hers alone.  Reality is the here and now, false hope is choosing not to see what is NOW because a reader told you it isn't so!

This forum is not negative, reality is taking place and SOME people recognize reality vs fantasy.
It is a choice to call reader after reader hoping to hear what you want to hear.  The forum has spoke many truths, however, some choose not to believe the truth even when it is right in front of their face.

Bark, everyone here believes that psychics have a talent..whether that talent is consistent, accurate, or useful in the long term is what everyone is starting to question. I don't think that is negative.

I don't believe anyone here was trying to pick apart Sagrita..only to use her as an example (where we have all been) when trying to communicate our views about psychics. We are not all going to agree on this forum and that is ok.

I am saying that some, note *some* psychics have talent predicting the future and not just information that is regarded as not useful. And I say that regardless of what some of the outspoken members here would like to assert.

The bolded is what I have issue with. How long does someone "wait for things to unfold" without doing anything "wrong" (aka being a human and having feelings that you want to express to the person)? Is it not possible you will be waiting your life down the drain?

you know what, I may just get pissed, annoyed jealous at the offending party (aka douch boyfriend)..and I should be able to express that and not have him vanish. When a reader says that he will "express his feelings in time"...it should happen no matter what.

Yes, readings should give you a glimpse about what is to come...but those glimpses should be accurate.

Please note that "waiting for things to unfold" does NOT involve "waiting".  Let's say I should have probably used the expression "allow things to unfold in their own time".  Better?

Nottakingthebait:
I guess it is left to interpretation of letting things unfold in their own time, and what you do with the time while things are unfolding.

Just a fancy way of saying....you are waiting!
