Bella:
This is a bump....hope everyone reads this thread...even if it is a few years old.

tired of it all:
This is a great thread Bella with a lot of excellent views being expressed on all sides.  I'm glad you bumped it, and the other one also.  I read through these and many others before I started posting here.  Seeing the bickering that has gone on in the past really made me hesitate to start posting on this forum.  I got the impression there are still some hurt feelings about things that have gone on here.

I gotta say whether others like it or not, I thought Bark Angel shared some really great words of wisdom in this thread.  And to me it looks like others misinterpreted what she wrote and ganged up on her.

And Bark Angel if you are still around, I hope you don't mind that I brought your name back up.  But I thought one of your posts really bears repeating.  Now for me it would be ideal if I had a neon sign over my telephone saying this:

--- Quote from: Bark angel on March 28, 2014, 08:51:32 AM ---No psychic reading should ever trump your own intuition and gut feeling.  Furthermore, reputable psychics will be sure to tell you that up front and without hesitation.

--- End quote ---

Now I wholeheartedly believe that is true.  It is more important to trust ourselves than to trust any reader or place their words over what you know or feel to be true.

And this is exactly where things have gone wrong for me in my worst experiences with having readings.  What the reader said conflicted with my own intuition, and I felt torn between believing them and trusting myself.

I do believe the actions we take after a reading can definitely affect the outcome.  I also believe the underlying energy of that action can have a strong impact...in other words if I feel calm and right about what I'm doing it is likely to have a very different outcome, than if I feel upset and conflicted and torn.

I have thought a lot about how participating in a forum like this might affect things for me and for others who read this or could even ripple out in ways I would never guess at.  I want to be honest about my experiences with readers, but I don't want to cause anyone to doubt themselves or lose faith in something they feel is right.

I know I probably sound like a real downer at times, but my underlying intent is to discourage people from putting faith in readers to the extent that it is harmful to themselves.  I hope by sharing some of the bad experiences I've had, it might help others.
