Choosing psychics before you found the board
« on: November 24, 2018, 08:04:47 PM »
Ok, moment of truth here, how many of us initially thought the more expensive readers on platforms would be better prior to finding this review board?

Second from the bottom, for me:)
It makes me realize though that reviews don't really mean a thing! I've seen many on, for example, bitwine and purple ocean, with many good reviews, timeframes, everything, and those still turned out to be fakes.

Me. I naively thought, in my worst moments, that the more expensive the better. Now I’m skeptical of super-expensive. Or on Keen when a reader changes their rate 2-3x a day. In the beginning I was like, “what the...” Who is that guy on Keen? Oh, Peter Doswell! $50 a minute. I never did that but I think the people that did were either very well off financially or just in so much pain

Mines these two:

Tried both cheaper and expensive ones
Used the platform's reviews to try to choose

I just read the reviews. But I look for certain things while scanning the reviews. I look for how many reviews say "Such and such didn't tell me what I wanted to hear". If I see a lot of those, I tend to go ahead and try that one. If I see a lot of reviews for a reader that say "Still waiting. I know the timelines are pushed out because of POI free will etc." I skip right past or if I see a lot that just say "Thanks. Was really sweet", I skip past that too. I don't care if you're sweet or not, I just like truth, even if it's harsh and maybe even cold. Lastly, I look at the usernames and if I see a bunch of different ones, I'll try that person out so long as they meet the above requirements as well but if I see the same username leaving a review every day or every other day and that's what is creating their high scored reviews, I skip past it.

Also, if I see a reader that charges more than 7 dollars per minute, which is really pushing it, I will not read with them. They are taking advantage of their "gift" that they were given to help others. Charging such high amounts isn't helping others. It's draining them of money big time and I'm quite sure these readers know that most are calling during a stressful and emotional time which is just wrong on every level. It's highly probable that these particular people don't really even have a gift. They, like most frauds, use psychology, personal experience, statistics, and "best guesses". Anyone who has a true gift has ethics and follows spiritual morals, values, and principles and is grateful for their gift of being able to help others. Those are the truly gifted readers and you won't see them charging your entire paycheck to speak with them for 5 or 10 minutes.

I was an Oranum user - I know, I know....  but something about seeing them made me comfortable!  I chose the advisors that were ranked the highest.... So I guess they were probably the most expensive too!  And they might have had reviews but I could never actually find them?

How much of the "per minute" do you think the advisor gets?

I know that keen used to take 20%. I'm not sure if it's still the same or not. Even if you only got to take 1 dollar per minute home, that's still 60 dollar per hour! Even if you made only $30 in that hour, that's till $30 per hour! Lol. I mean, at 7 bucks per MINUTE and more..........just wow. Those people are making bank off of those that are hurting and having problems. A lot of people go broke calling them. That's why I like the readers that tell you not to call them for said amount of time so that you don't waste your money. You can tell that they aren't in it for the money. Then you have those that will just let you call them 5 times per day and they have zero issue repeating themselves and could care less about your finances. I don't know what percentage these other platforms take, but, like california psychics..........15 bucks PER MINUTE???????? That's just waaaaaaaaaay too high. Greed runs this world unfortunately.

I was told Keen takes over 60%. Whatever it is, the rates are outrageous. When I found out how much cheaper it was to read with someone off of Keen it was an eye opener. Keen is run by scumbags, I won't ever give them another dime.

OMG - that is ridiculous if they do......

Wow. Why even be a reader on that platform if they take that much? Just wow!

They get a little more than half of the amount earned each minute.  So the advisor really doesn't get what is shown price per minute. My sister works on it, and she gets annoyed that Keen keeps raising the fee. So they charge a little more to make something as Keen takes their share.

I'd read reviews and just look at the pictures on CP. If they look kind, I'll probably try them. Lol also I didnt know the lingo so I thought mediums were empaths so my filters were off too. I didnt go for expensive though because I was a broke college student. Thank God for that hah
