Bark, why do you always find it necessary to clarify someone's understanding? If Sagitira feels a certain way about her readings, why not just allow her those thoughts, without interjecting what you think "really happened"? Be mindful, as you usually ask us to be, that you were not there to hear the readings, nor were you there to experience her emotions.

I am not trying to be confrontational; it is just bothersome that you tend to take this approach when others have come to accept what is.

I saw this coming from a mile away, but that's the point Bark was trying to make. Sagitira (ultimately) did not accept the [what is] as you call it.....that her ex would make some kind of emotional confession. Mainly because a psychic placed the thoughts in her head that he was going to do something, but became argumentative instead, waiting on a confession that did not come, after the predicted time passed.  Mind you the predicted scenario could have possibly happened, if she had let things continue on its present course and not look for what the reader told her (by letting it go).

In other words, it appears that because she was looking for it, it did not come and caused it to dissipate, whereas had she not forced its hand, it might have shown on its own. If she truly believed it would happen....she would not have been looking for it to begin with. The same energies we project to manifest things, is the same energy that pushes things away because we want [it] so badly and it is just as strong. I've been told this on numerous occasions.

We are influenced by our thoughts and thoughts placed in our heads by others, even more so when we want the happy ending. And when we are told something is coming, we no longer behave the same way as before nor stay the course, irritably changing the original path we were on.

Thank you, Zee. It is refreshing to see that someone else recognizes that we play a big part in what might materialize.  I was told by a number of psychics that forums like this one actually inhibit predictions from coming to pass.  I was a little unsure at first, but seeing as this forum has taken on a decidedly negative energy of late - I think it is quite possible. Part of this whole process is to "have faith".  Not blind faith, mind you, but faith.  Presuming that all psychics are fake and 100% wrong - how can one consider that having faith? It's no wonder nothing happens!

Two questions:

How long would you wait for something to present itself, while reality starkly draws an alternative picture? If armed with such faith and trust in your gut/intuition above all else, why continue to get readings?

Divine,
The operative word is this question is "wait".  No one is recommending that anyone wait for anything.

Exactly.

So because she acted like a jealous woman, the guy just decided to make his love feelings vanish and never to be heard from again? Please.

If I am jealous and a guy that loves me sees it, he would spill his guts and say how he is only into me and wants me. He wouldn't just decide to "not love me" because I poked him a bit.

Honestly, I find this expectation that we are to be totally passive and just let things happen to us...dysfunctional.

I understand what Bark is saying, but I question how much one  just has to have faith and "let things happen" before one realizes that its...never going to happen.

I'll answer these.
If reality starkly draws an alternative picture than the one given in readings, one has to go with your own intuition.  If that intuition says reality is correct - you don't need readings.  If that intuition suggests that all is not as it appears and your hunch is that there is reason to have hope, then one does so with faith that your own intuition will not fail you..... and again, no readings are necessary if your intuition reflects the predictions being given.  So, either way, readings are not really necessary.  And I don't think anyone is suggesting they are.

People get more than one reading because they can't rest on one.  Either they are not able to derive the faith from the reader they have consulted, or they question the ability of the reader for one reason or another.  Fora like this one contribute to people getting multiple readings, by the way.  There is so much reported on here about certain readers not being accurate that it causes people that trusted their reading with that psychic to wonder if their trust is misplaced.  It's a sad reality, but it is true - I've seen it happen.  In fact, the only way to counteract that is to turn to one's inner voice and see what it says.

Finally, a reading should not be contrary to one's own intuition.  It should reflect it.  If one has the sense that a reading is "too good to be true" chances are it is.

There is no downside to what is being shared here.  If one moves along in life with faith, one will not obviate anything else coming into one's life.  One simply may have a choice, when those that do not operate in faith have not.

Dismiss the concept of "waiting". A good psychic will never instruct a reader to wait for anything.

Who said it was jealousy?  I am not sure the OP mentioned jealousy at all.  And I don't believe the guy vanished either.  Point is pressing someone on anything when that person is not inclined is never a good idea, psychic reading or otherwise.  If something isn't happening, once has a choice.  Stay or leave.  Trying to force something had the opposite effect.

Well, I'll make it more specific: why continue to get readings on a situation when reality shows no movement in your favor? Such as, some of us, who continue to read to about an ex who has since clearly moved on? Taking personal responsibility doesn't only apply to manifesting good predictions, it is also taking into account when the situation has become black and white, and there is no room for our shades of gray.

I am not against getting readings; I wouldn't be here if I were. What I am against, is not placing the proper burden upon these readers when they are wrong.

Sunandmoon, I'm so happy for you! You and I split from our exes at the same time but I have not been as fortunate as you, lol. Glad to hear all is well, darlin, you deserve it. <3

Thanks decibel! It was a long hard road to get here and I'm so glad I took the chance.

Just keep your eyes and heart open  :)

Divine,
The answer to this is to turn inwards and ask yourself, what does my own voice tell me?  If it tells you that it is time to move on, then do so with faith that this relationship ended for the greater good.  If your intuition tells you that there's more to come, then move forward in faith that the Universe will bring that to you when the time is right.  Either way, the client is moving forward.  Either way the faith is intact.  Faith in one's own compass.

Holding a reader accountable for being wrong is alright as long as it was just the reader that is wrong.  But when there are a number of people in a situation, how can one person be entirely wrong while all the others are entirely right?  Doesn't the outcome also depend on how the client reacts as well?  The readers are not the only individuals that are accountable. Clearly here sagitira took matters in her own hands.  She countermanded the advice of her readers.  She had a right, but she should know that by doing that the predictions given were voided. While she did so because she felt it was the right thing to do, it could have altered what was to come.

Well, I'll make it more specific: why continue to get readings on a situation when reality shows no movement in your favor? Such as, some of us, who continue to read to about an ex who has since clearly moved on? I was talking about Sagrita..who was the poster that you were referencing I think. She referenced jealousy, you said she "questioned him".

And Im saying, what is pressuring someone and what is being an adult and putting stuff out there to get feedback? The psychic was wrong in the end and that is all that we can take as fact. Sometimes I feel like we are not supposed to blow in a certain direction lest our predictions don't come to pass. Unhealthy, IMO.

I think we can both agree that acting jealously is not putting stuff out there to get feedback.  One is done to evoke a desired response, the other is done to evoke a response regardless of whether it is the desired or not. That said, there is always something to be said for taking control of a situation and determining its fate. I'm not recommending that people put off what they wish to do, like I said you have to go with your gut.  However the person that prefers to air the matter now and not wait for the future to unfold is not the ideal candidate for psychic readings in my opinion. If one is not inclined to let things unfold in their own time, why get a psychic reading in the first place?  They are mainly to give you a glimpse of what is yet to come, aren't they?

I believe the point is, we would not have blown in a certain direction had we not continually spun on something a reader told us.

Quote
I am not against getting readings; I wouldn't be here if I were. What I am against, is not placing the proper burden upon these readers when they are wrong.

You are 1000% percent right about this, as far as I'm concerned because I believe this as well and no one said anything about being passive. Don't get me wrong, I also agree with your sentiment that if I am feeling jealous I would expect my partner to comfort and support me, but to stay in his face and harp about it and continually bemoan our plight will chase anything away.

For one thing, I personally find it detrimental to get a reading about a relationship, considering how volatile emotions are, even if it puts you at ease for the moment.

All I was saying is letting things go (this seems to be the biggest hump for most people) because it's very, very difficult to do. Trust me. Did I say 'very' difficult already?  We don't need to keep grasping for something that we believe should already be ours. This only results in pushing our desires away, which may also explain why time frames keep getting pushed further and further out.
