How is everyone?
« on: July 09, 2025, 04:48:27 PM »
I'm feeling really depressed and empty and want a reading. Not even about the future, just how to feel more fulfilled in the present.

Im sorry you're going through a hard time. I also am feeling depressed lately. What has been helping me is having a routine for myself like running in the morning and set up time to study, etc.

I’m not against readings if it’s what you want. BUT it will never fill the hole long term. You have to find something else for your own good. I’m not here to preach and I can’t pretend to have the answers (I don’t) but I know for me when I’ve been anxious, colouring, sports and podcasts have been really helpful. Sorry this probably isn’t very helpful - hope you’re ok.

I'm really sorry you're feeling this way. That kind of emptiness can be heavy. I’ve found that when things feel low, it can help to look for even the smallest things to appreciate. It’s not about ignoring how you feel, but sometimes noticing the little good things. Even just having a quiet moment or something warm to drink can help shift the weight a bit. Focus on the things you're grateful for. You're not alone in this.

If you can, go play with kids. People say parents have unconditional love for their children. Quite opposite, kids and animals have unconditional love for adults. They don't judge who you are, if you are pretty or ugly, rich or poor, talk or short, etc. If they smile at you, it only means they like you and your energy genuinely and they feel happy when they see you. That's it. Nothing more. Kids can teach you how to be present and how to not give a f*k about how the world views you. They laugh when they want to laugh. They cry when they want to cry. We were all like that, but were taught to hide and suppress our feelings and be who we are today.
A few things can possibly heal you - kids, animals, music, art, food and nature.
If you still feel like getting a reading, go get one, BUT only if you don't burn a hole in your pocket, LOL, and can find someone who can soothe your soul and make you feel better. Don't talk to a doom gloom reader who will make you feel worse. Yes, sometimes we need to hear the harsh truth and honest opinions. But what you are needing now is to feel better and feel good about yourself and life.
Treat yourself nicely, do whatever can make you feel better! Good luck!

Aww thank you so much you’ve all been so kind! I forced myself to go for a walk in the park yesterday and I joined this talk where you get a free reading at the end of it. I was complaining about being lonely and the lady talked about self love. I feel like I’ve had it drilled into me by people that I need a big group of friends. Maybe I do? I don’t know. Anyway her reading was OK. These guys don’t give the best readings.
