Not really a prediction-problem, but just had a bad experience calling her this time. I was calling her for a job-related situation after a new unexpected interview with potentially fast turnaround that left me uncertain about whether or not I should prepare to leave my current job in the case of an offer. I explained my situation and my feeling about the interview to her and asked 1) how likely it would be for the interview to lead to an offer; and 2) in the case of an offer, would it be a good move for me to take up the offer and leave my current company.
I don't think she connected with what I said, and in its place she gave me a lot of general advice on what to do to take care of myself when I'm not happy in my current position (the same type that you can get from the elders in your family), and when I asked her to focus on my questions, she blamed me for talking too quickly in the beginning and then moved on to say that 1) she wouldn't know because it's going to be a pool of candidates that the company is considering from (yes of course anyone knows that until they receive the company's official response) and then the reason for her to give me the general advice in the beginning was to answer my second question (the type of advice I can just give to basically anyone who is not happy with their current job).
We clearly didn't connect, but she could have just told me that she couldn't connect (so that I could hang up and call someone else), or that she didn't get my questions since I wasn't speaking clearly (so that I could repeat), instead of wasting my time with general advice like that knowing that you are paying by minute. She might work for others or she might even work for me on a different day, but due to her questionable working ethic, I'll not call her again.
