She was definitely trying to keep me on the phone longer which is unethical. Everytime I said "thank you for your time" she would either bring up something I didn't ask about or repeat the same thing she said earlier and I continued to stay because I truly believed based on how highly you all talk about her that she was gonna give me answers but she didn't. All she said was this could happen or this might happen nothing was concrete. I waited 2 months to talk to her and I still have no answers. I spent a ridiculous amount of money talking to her yesterday cuz I wanted to believe she would give me something that she didn't.
Cookie has no need to keep anyone on the phone longer - she has a list of over 100 clients at any one time for crying out loud, and it's not her main family income.
Sometimes she has fallen silent with me, and when I haven't gone, asked "did you have another question?" she's not a reader that strings things out if she can't see something for the sake of it.
I understand the pain of a bad reading - I've had vague readings in my time with Cookie where I wished I had not called, but then, that's the same with any reader!
She is not unethical. I've had her tell me, she doesn't care if I never call again, she is going to tell me the truth regardless..etc I've even had her tell me not to call because it's a bad decision financially. This doesn't speak of a reader desperate to keep people on the phone. The evidence is not there to back you up.
Try for a refund via Keen - good luck on that, they are very strict with their refunds at the moment - I hope you get it, simply because I loathe Keen. But don't label readers as unethical just because you didn't get an answer you wanted, or it cost, or they were slow talkers... The ones who are unethical in my opinion, are those that tell you only good news to keep you calling (despite seeing the opposite), charge over $30 a min, change for spells, or know that they are frauds with zero talent .. Cookie none of the above
In regard to Cookie's advice to reach out - she is one of the only readers that will tell you not to wait. Good on her for that.
She called me once and instructed me to reach out, send a text there and then telling my POI where I was - told me that if I did, it would advance things forward dramatically.
I pushed against it - I was scared, said there was no point because the person I was reaching out to was not in town. I'd had read with Advisor Neal who told me to only reach out when he reached out - so I was stubborn and reluctant. Anyway - she stuck to it, and eventually - while she was on the phone with me still - I sent him a text message. What happened? Turned out he was in the same town as me, he invited me out, and we reconnected, and it was wonderful.
You can bash her all you like - I agree that not all readings with Cookie are great - some seem like a waste of time. But whatever you say, I and many others have evidence of this lady's talent - and accept the high price of a call (and some bad calls) to glean information from her.
IN regard to her advice re the LoA. Cookie is also one of the only readers that will encourage you to work on changing a bad reading - if she sees that you want something, but cannot see it happening, she will tell you how to change it. I've worked on this with her, and had dramatic changes.. it's worth the effort.
I know I come across as Cookie's no1 fan. I am biased because my experiences with her have generally been So very positive. BUT - as I said above, I have had bad readings also - after my first reading with her, I almost didn't return. I only did, because one minor prediction came true..and in desperate of reading with many bad people, I decided to give her another shot. SO SO thankful I did.
I don't like any readers that charge over $5 a min. It would be better if Cookie had her own site, and was able to cut the cost down without paying half the fee to the platform. But, without that option, I am willing to accept and pay the cost for 99% accurate info and no BS.
