Have you ever thought of starting a “quitting psychic addiction” blog?

I like reading your posts. If you want to blog here write away. I think a lot of us like to visit this forum and see what’s going on.

I have been wanting to give an update on this challenge. … and ive written several posts but it just doesn’t feel “done” so …now I asked ChatGPT to make my rants shorter, highlight bullet points, and get to the point:

- **Growth and Reflection**: Completed a 40-day break from psychic readings, experiencing personal growth and reduced reliance on them.
- **New Coping Mechanisms**: Engaged in questioning feelings during uncertainty and avoiding usual triggers, thus improving emotional regulation.
- **Alcohol and Sobriety**: Successfully quit drinking alcohol, discovering the ability to have fun and enjoy social events without it. (I also went 40 days without alcohol)
- **Handling Anxiety**: Reduced need to ask anxiety-driven questions regarding personal relationships, becoming comfortable with uncertainty.
- **Financial Awareness**: Saved money by refraining from unnecessary readings, choosing to pay bills instead.
- **Emotional Intelligence**: Recognized the power to safely experience and process emotions like anger without external validation.
- **Simplified Rituals**: Streamlined spiritual practices to focus more on simple prayers and less on manifesting, avoiding burnout.
- **Support Systems**: Benefited from communities and resources like Thais Gibson’s attachment theory program and the Hallow app for emotional and spiritual support.
- **Therapeutic Insights**: Gained understanding and coping skills from therapy after experiencing workplace trauma, contributing to overall resilience.

Thanks ChatGPT

I also have these some videos that really inspired me. I can’t talk about this predilection without mentioning that perhaps at the core of a disease was how I put myself in a limerence situation, and acknowledging my attachment style. (And I’m not saying this so the answer for everybody but it’s definitely worth looking into) I grew up getting swept away in my emotions thinking it’s the end all be all, for some time I’ve wondered if I was borderline (and have had some medical expert both agree and disagree with that diagnosis- but it doesn’t matter). But, you know what emotions aren’t bad. They’re perceptions of your world view, and at times reflect or challenge a core belief. Feelings aren’t bad either; not good, nor bad, they’re definitely a flavor, or a vibe, but they’re ok to have, and at times need to be let out to get a neutral place. It’s the human experience.

Therapy in a nutshell:

Healing prolong grief (limerence, staying present):

Thais Gibson (don’t judge her on her eyebrows. But a lot of her videos, talks, courses helped me see my limerence was an unmet need):

First: Congratulations to you for this great accomplishment!
Second: I could not help but judge the eyebrows. Those things are like WHOA!

Thank you! Thank you!

Yeah… those eyebrows. But it seems like she is a genius with attachment styles, limerence, courses, daily videos… but those eyebrows…

Yes. She's definitely intelligent and knowledgeable. It's hard to focus on what she says because of the eyebrows though lol. Oh well. To each their own.
