Why does the website keep crashing everyday??

Yeah it's definitely a situation where the server doesn't have the capacity to handle all of the traffic. Could be an issue with storage space, honestly.

Is this an abandoned site? I dont feel like anyone is taking care of it... where are admins? Surely there is a solution...

Definitely not abandoned since the admin has posted a few months back regarding terms of use, removing members with mutiple accounts, and deleting threads. The administrator also needs to approve new members that join the forum, as well, and I'm pretty new. So, someone is monitoring the site to some extent.🤷🏻♀️

How is this website supported? I would be willing to pay a nominal membership fee.

It's not 2 days. The forum has been gone from Mon afternoon until Sat evening and before that it was gone for 5 days before coming back on last Friday.
The moderators need to get on this issue or else this will keep on recurring and become more of a frequent issue with longer lapses.
My guess? No one wants to pay the $$$$ needed to upgrade to a better host with bigger storage capacity and we are left with simple forums technology like it's 1985.

This last round appears to be the worst - it was down from Mid October until November 23rd. Admin wrote about it in the "Members and Threads getting Deleted" thread a few days ago. It wasn't a good explanation for why the site was gone for so long, said limited resources which probably means this will happen again. Looks like most people have given up on the site. Perhaps they will slowly trickle back in over the next few months.

mods, if you see this just post some kind of fundraiser using paypal or venmo to get money for longer better web hosting.
btw this forum would work OK as a subreddit. not as good as this website but i hope there’s a backup plan where the community can reconstruct itself if this site permanently fails

I would happily agree to the fundraiser myself. I have given and taken from this website and it has saved me on countless times when I was at my worst. I would hate to see this site go or be down again for a prolonged period of time. Especially if we can help it.
