Hi Everyone,
We would like to make this forum the best service it can be, so I welcome your ideas and input. The issues we need to look at our the following:
1. We need to stop readers from creating profiles and fluffing themselves and bashing other readers.
2. We need to keep what we write confidential and within our site only.
3. We want to keep the language used here clean.
4. We want to this place to be a positive experience for everyone if possible.
Here are some ideas that I have thought of and I would like your input.
1. We can require each member to display if they are a caller or adviser. Each adviser would have an icon next to them, so we know. This will help keep the reviews honest. How will we know if the members are telling the truth or not? We'll implement legal agreements each member will sign when they register and we may charge a small fee to use the service. I think this will make the environment much more professional and honest for all the members.
2. To keep what we all post as confidential, again, it will be on the agreements (as it is now on the Terms of Use) that we do not allow copying of our content, in part or whole. We will also not allow discussion or plagiarism of the content on our website. Since much of our discussion here is personal, it should not be copied onto the web in any form. These policies will be posted in many places on the website, possibly at the bottom of every page.
3. Keeping the language clean would be my preference. I don't like to see vulgar language. Let's keep this on a professional, mature level.
4. To keep this website as positive as possible, we can use as much tact as we can with negative reviews. Advisers are very sensitive people, so remember that. Try not to write reviews that are attacking. A reader may not work for you and just might work great for someone else.

Some other ideas I have will be to have a list of the top rated readers/advisers. In order not to hurt ones with low scores, it might be best not to display them at all and only post the top 10 for example. If we have a long list and some readers score a 0 or 1, then obviously they will lose their business, so it might not be a good idea to post that info.
We can also have paid ads for readers. If a reader pays, then it will clearly be stated they are advertising and not be pushed up to the top only because they paid.
We'd like to make the site as transparent as possible so the reviews are real and helpful.

I'd like to add a suggestion this.
1. Please turn the PM feature back on as I can't even return an email;
2. There shouldn't really be any swearing in posts except that it has emphasis at times, so I don't think it's really that big of a deal. Everyone is pretty tame around these woods! Yes, I'm guilty as charged!
3. I don't really care who is a reader and who isn't. Makes no difference to me whatsoever.
That's it! The emphasis is turning the PM option back on so no one thinks I'm rude please! Lol
