Anyone ever “test” a reader?
« on: March 07, 2026, 11:18:38 AM »
I’m not sure how ethical this is or if it would change the readers sense of the situation, but has any one asked a question they already undoubtedly know the answer to?
I’m going to be honest I just did this with one of our “favs” on here and man did he get it wrong. Like really, really wrong. Has me questioning everything.

Honest question: if you think psychic readers are fake, why spend your time and money trying to “test” them? Wouldn’t it make more sense to just… not get readings?

Yes, I did that with that one Ron guy. I’d been reading with him a few weeks but then it started to feel….too fairy tale-ish so I asked a question I knew the answer to - he failed.

Luckily this was back when he was $5/min instead of whatever he charges now.

Again-it felt off or was off and you spent money to confirm it?

Yeah I would definitely never waste my money like that, you can usually just tell in the vague responses that there isn’t a connection. I have however asked about a man I felt no connection to and they gave me an answer that aligned without someone else completely. I don’t think there is a way to test the psychic bc they are reading the energy around you and interpreting the messages they see/hear/feel, can’t always associate exactly who it is they are reading about which is why many of us don’t have predictions come to fruition.

I have definitely tested a reader and don't see the issue with it, better to waste the money now than to spend a bunch of money later because they're feeding you BS and you believe it. I look at readings as a gamble anyways so I always enter them with the mindset that I am potentially wasting money on someone that's feeding me crap. Keep in mind that also for some platforms you can get your money back if you hang up early enough. For the ones that don't I am satisfied with being able to give my experience on here about them.

I also tried a fav on here , she said a lot of good things about POI and I was skeptical so I asked her about this fake friend that I had...one that turned on me out of nowhere and began to bully me in my late teens. I eventually found out it was due to jealously and she'd always been rooting for my downfall, til this day that woman still has a stick up her behind about me.
So I use her as my test question whenever I am skeptical.

If a psychic paints her as "a good friend...cares about you deeply..." blah blah then I know they're full of BS, I hang up, get my money back and repot to this forum.
I had one that straight out said "No I see dark energy with her"...so I knew she was legit
