Readers who change their readings after learning more information

Hey everyone! I'm a long-time reader of these forums and just realized I got access to post! :) Just wanted to get everyone's take on what it means if a reader is telling you one thing (without additional context from you) and then when you give them additional information, it's like they suddenly change what they are telling you?
