I wouldn't pay $10 a min for a reading and some readers have little or no feedback, and they justify their high prices by saying they've been in business for over 15, 20 years, blah blah and have been on radio shows, how accurate they all (which is a matter of perspective), they are a third generation psychic (like this really means something) as if a third is better than a second because it's further down the line, the age they started reading or hearing their guides....a lot of stuff they can make up and no one is the wiser.
There really is never any solid justification for the rates readers want and some have to lower their rates all too often. Some callers actually believe that a higher price must mean the reader is good. I look at it as the reader is greedy. Wouldn't they get more money if the reading is $5 a min, if they averaged around 50 people per day than say $20 a min for 15 people. Their ultimate goal is to help people, right? It looks like they are getting paid more at the higher rate but the price point makes many people reconsider.

If I am willing to pay over $10 a minute, though, I want to walk away feeling wowed. I have been with some readers at $10 and over per minute, but then there have been some that have been a big letdown.Exactly!! That is totally why I won't pay that much. I've been let down far too many times. I would be so pissed to walk away from a $10 per min read that is general as hell and I could have paid $2 per min to get the same read. Since she doesn't advertise I would feel wrong if I gave her information out to someone I don't know personally.She doesn't advertise because she gets good business from word of mouth. I seriously doubt she is a secret, but if she is in it to help others, you could be helping someone else, by paying it forward. I don't ever and have never gone to a reader who gives information from someone who has passed on (it's just not anything I believe in). Personally, I don't want her information knowing this, and because I'm not in NJ, especially since she doesn't take callers, so it's no skin off me. I'm not pressing the issue, just giving you something to consider.
Oh, speaking to a reader I have rapport with and have been friends with is not all that great either, because after awhile, they start to give their opinions based on the fact they know you instead of being unbiased and giving plain ole psychic information. So it really comes down to talking to someone you have rapport with that has insight on your situation. And it's really hard to build rapport at $18/min or even $3-4/min.
That's why if I really want to talk to someone, I do it off keen where their rates are more affordable and I can have a lengthy conversation with them.
I was able to ask questions If I knew Nikki, I would have no problem passing on the info. However, I don't know her and I don't want to do that. I personally think she is a WoW reader. 90 minutes with a transcript and a recording of the reading for 60 bucks with 99% accuracy is WOW enough for me. Let me know when you find someone like that. Oh and also Zee it's good you don't want the info because you weren't getting it. No skin off my back!
I was going to make an extremely snide remark for which I am so capable, but it's Friday and I don't want to continue to fuel this, nor do I wish anyone to leave. Personally, I feel we are putting way too much energy into Jahida's opposing opinion. Jahida should be able to say what she wants, however she wants and keep her information, even if no one agrees with this. There are two sides to everything. Nor does she have to explain and NOR AM I TAKING HER SIDE IN THE LEAST. Everyone does not have to agree.
The only thing I disagree with is J's comment that she doesn't know the poster and doesn't feel comfortable giving her the readers information (which clearly does not make sense to me), not because this is a review site for readers, but because people in general give others (strangers even) information all the time, regardless of who they are and whether or not they know them. That's the way I believe most people are.
However, the reason Jahida thinks the reader doesn't want her information given out (especially since she is accepting payments, which means she has a business) is just plain bizarre - unless of course, she doesn't want us posting our reviews about her local reader that wouldn't necessarily reflect her amazing experience.
I understand Jahida that if the local reader worked so fabulously for you, you don't want your reading clouded if she doesn't work for anyone else, especially if someone (gasps) declares she really isn't psychic, didn't connect, was just plain wrong, talked too slow, predictions didn't happen or whatever...just fill in the blank.
It's like you want to protect your little cookie morsel and keep it in a jar. I don't operate this way although I understand it.
This forum seems to get psychic protectors or reader cheerleaders often and we've seen it all before, so no one is surprised much. I'm just surprised as to why you posted to begin with...didn't you post to tell us about your experience and to claim you found a wow reader?

The other day, after reading this tread, just out of curiosity i read with her too, she definitely has a gift but i think she is just any other reader, she told me accurate things about myself, like she knew what i was doing, but then she missed that i was already married, she said she did not think i will have any children and i am pregnant to twins, and so on.

This actually played out as she mentioned, last week. I ended up going to the rental office to get my security deposit back and I was waited on by a guy named Hunter. Tony, the manager was there, although he didn't come out (all the walls are glass) and I caught him twice looking my way and at one point, actually standing on his tiptoes to look over the frosted part of the glass to see me better. Total surprise to me because I know without a doubt he is not my type. I do not care for snake.
She also mentioned at the time, because I believe he is ultimate sleaze, that she saw him being arrested; cops showing up and handcuffing him. He has money and brags about it, only because he has done illegal things to get it or overcharges people when their lease is up, or he uses illegals to perform jobs for him almost for nothing. What I wouldn't give to be somewhere to see that, so I can get pictures and post them on the net.

One, he is married; two he has five kids with his wife and one from a previous relationship, for a total of six; and three, sometimes he just grates on my friggin' nerves. Men...
Anyway, we talk often and I mentioned what Monica said about us, because we will be working on an indie film and will be in close proximity a lot more. He actually kind of just giggled. I told him if he and the wife are having issues (they aren't even on the same continent together), then he needs to move fast forward to make it work so they can stay together. I never got the impression he really loves her, although he says he loves her often enough. I've been told by others (outside the dynamic) that (B) is attracted to me.
B and I have a long history and even fell out for an entire year, after I moved, but I am not remotely attracted to him. He has too much baggage that I don't want to tolerate at all. But just because Monica mentioned this and he comes up often in readings, (he was still coming up when we were no longer talking for that year break), that I will work even harder to make sure nothing happens. She ended up saying he and the wife will go their separate ways anyway.

I just finished my reading with Monica and I thought she was very, very good. She was extraordinarily accurate. She would mention a name right off the bat and would ask who is Tony and would describe him as if she were standing right next to him. I did not give her any names. She would describe people like this to me throughout the call and tell me what they thought about our interactions. I would say she is extremely emphatic, although I generally avoid these types of readers. She mentioned quite a few men from my past and some that were coming into my future.
My original question was general (what did she see coming up for me this year), but she wanted another question so she could hear/get use to my voice because she is mainly local to Pittsburgh and does parties or one-on-one sessions, so she wanted to pick up that she was reading me correctly.
When I asked her about school the first thing she asked was what is happening with your references, which would be the letters of recommendations and specifically mentioned one in particular that will a stellar letter. I mean she was right as rain and spoke like she knew the situation first hand. She wasn't just nice. She spoke to me like we were old friends just chatting and talking about life.
She made quite a few predictions, the first one happening at the end of Feb, beginning of March. She even read my dog for me correctly as well. She should really think about putting up her own website.
I told her afterwards that I feel as if I could walk on the moon.
