Title: What's the most annoying thread here?
Post by: journalmuse on October 09, 2018, 06:24:52 PM
Tongue in cheek title for this thread, because I'm so tired of people posting topics like this:

Who's the best psychic?
Who's the most accurate psychic?
Who is best at predicting the weather?

Just read through the threads, JFC.

I think the ones that bother me most are the ones in the wrong category.

The ‘Keen’ category shouldn’t be filled with threads about reasons you’re frustrated with psychics in general. That’s what ‘The Vent’ is for. Lol

The most annoying thread ever was the Sincerity thread, back when she was getting a lot of hype (now, crickets!) In general whenever people get really starry-eyed or defensive over a reader they like, it is really annoying.

Seeing new people who haven't figured out how much all the readers suck yet is just sad.

I agree, it's all part of the denial process I think.

I know what you mean about people getting defensive about readers they like. It's because they can't handle hearing something negative about a reader who's given them good news, it's frustrating when they can't accept that not every reader works for everybody.

Yeah...and it's so obvious they are in denial. If not then it wouldn't matter, I mean if you KNOW that things are working out well with a reader then why would it matter if someone else had a bad experience? I think people lose all oerspective, if you compare it to something like reviewing a toaster oven, then why would you ever get upset at someone because their toaster oven caught on fire and almost burned the house down? If a reading/reader sucks for someone, it just is what it is, and seems like the point of a review forum is so we can all hear about it.

Then another one is when someone says a reader got things wrong for them, or every reader got it wrong, and they start nitpicking what the person says to twist it around so the readers were right after all. Because they are that desperate to believe. Again, if you know your own readings are working out, it wouldn't matter. But it always matters because all readings really do is leave us in doubt.

Lol, I can see what the basis of your username is for, now! Still Tired of some of the bs from this site  ;D There are definitely a few users who get very defensive of readers and whenever one negative comments is made, it's easy to spot them from a mile away when they rush onto the forum to defend the said reader like they're the Queen. And second one is a valid point, too!

YES!  I also find this when I read feedback for readers on sites..even though I haven't been on Keen in years, I still look through FB of some of the readers I used to read with and I see the SAME people still waiting for their predictions..it's like oh man, come on..you can't possibly be this naive??  at what point do you give up on a reader and realize they were bullshitting you??  LIterally YEARS later!

Yeah, the defending a reader to the death is a huge annoyance. I'm not talking about just posting your perspective/positive experience. Its telling the other person their experience
was wrong and how dare you malign this gifted reader bs!

Turning around your bad review and pointing out how the psychic was right afterall was hugely annoying. Or trying to paint you as crazy. It happened on that other forum a lot, it was ridiculous. I know we can become desperate sometimes, but please!

The problem is that it kinda has a handful of cult users. Little fresh blood to offer a differing perspective. Set the tone of the forum to its detriment.

There have been some major wars here, like WW3 WW4, 5 and 6 over a reader and many of these posters/clients had never even met first hand. Just on the phone as if they were friends. It just floored me.

I agree..I read there sometimes but overall a very cultish sort of vibe..also too much into the spellwork stuff..I don't believe in that so I have no desire to read about it although it does intrigue me how some people are willing to do anything to get someone.  One thread I did read had someone talking about getting a demon to break up a couple.  YIKES..how could you think that wouldn't backfire?

That's pretty freaky to be honest that they got a demon to split up a couple.. That's just.. Deranged. Us women can be crazy at the best of times, Lol! I've never been tempted to use any spellcasting, it's a waste of money and rip off.

I had a conversation once with Hope about spellcasting and not believing in it because that is one of the biggest draws to SPS. It has got to be the biggest crocks too that anyone can buy into. IMHO. I have visited a few of those threads, but jeez it's just way above any deranging level I want to explore. Hope wasn't too keen on the conversation and was kind of miffed I even mentioned not believing in that crap. Hope isn't the most stable tbh.

Best person on PsychicSource, Keen, California Psychics, AskNow, ______, etc.... just fill in the blank.
Any who, I saw another thread that I find annoying, because there is no way anyone would know that, because there are too many readers to have read with them all. They can only talk about the ones they've read with and although it could be a lot, it is never ALL. I don't even see any point in asking this.

I find it really annoying when ppl rant their new found hatred of psychics after being wrong for so long, blame them, then post a bunch of threads of how fake they are, misdirecting their anger, unable to face it themselves.

Yep. Or when someone goes to a reader who tells them not so great news, so they come on here and as a comfort boost, post that the reader was negative and hope that others say "well they ended up being wrong for me, anyway", and deep down they know that that reader gave them bad news, but their mind automatically goes on the defensive so they'll say "well they got this detail wrong for me anyway, or this tarot card meaning". Yet those same people moan that a reader gave them a fairytale reading.

rude ones.. people want to know things for a reason.... not all psychics suck. you have to find your match. Master Enigma is my go to, some may disagree BUT he has been the only to show proof to me. more than 5 times. he has always been patient with me and i flipped out on him at times bc of my own doubt and he still worked with me.

Multiple threads on the same topic over and over. Either from when people don't search correctly for an existing thread or when newbies don't know posters will see their post the first time because it shows up in either the Show unread posts since last visit or the Show new replies to your posts. Plus, it's not like they are saying anything new because most times, they copy/paste the same exact verbiage over and over again too. jeez. We will see it.

I get where yall are coming from and I know there are rules and I do see multiple posts and recognize there needs to be order. But this thread seems almost attacking like towards users because its specific. Think about it, people are in a vulnerable state and are probably already down about life. As someone who deals with severe depression and anxiety, and is also a therapist, I see so many people who read things about people making fun or rude and it sends them into a spiral. I'm guilty of posting threads asking if i should chose yona, qoc, cookie, or kisha. There are probably a lot of users on here that are brand new that just want to compare their top people theyve read about and make a decision. I dont think its nice to call out exact titles because then everyone knows who that user was. Guys, we are all going through something. We should not call out others publicly and embarrass them or make them feel bad. Send them a private message and let them know there is already threads, or polls, and link it for them. Not post a whole topic on who did it and the exact title. Lets spread kindness and positivity, not hate. Just my opinion
Title: Re: What's the most annoying thread here?

You make some good points, but as you know most people don't want to put in the work like doing their own research by going through an entire thread to find an answer so they post a question like it's the first thing we've been asked, but I can assure the answer is somewhere in that long ass thread. Everything that most people ask, has been asked and answered multiple times already. Many of the reader's sites that are here can be picked up via google.

Also, the internet is one of the worst places a person can go if they are feeling vulnerable which may cause them to spiral, especially a psychic forum. I would think such vulnerability seeks out lighter fare. I wouldn't necessarily say this forum sustains people's addictions, since there are threads for those who want to stop because one does have to go through it in order to come out on the other side. I believe that about this forum wholeheartedly.

As a therapist do you sometimes come to this forum to cope? If so how does it help?

I do agree! Your points are true too! :)

And yes, you could say that. A lot of people have this stigma that therapists have it all together and of course that isn't true. Especially with a degree in marriage and family therapy. My love life is crazy! I also do feel like many counselors or therapists arent open to believeing in 5d or psychics or supernatural things, and if they themselves don't have a gift or haven't experienced it, they can be judgey. ESPECIALLY TO THOSE IN THE FIELD!! So here, its like I can relate to people on a personal level verses people looking at me like... uhh youre a therapist, don't you know how to fix your own issues?! This forum makes me feel less alone as a person. 1. Because people are goong through similar things and 2. Because we all are believing on things most people want to blow off!!

I have a neighbor who is a therapist.  There are a total of four therapists in her practice.  She told me recently that they have a sage cleansing at the office every Friday at the end of the day to clear the negative energy they have absorbed.   I thought that it was kind of nice that the whole group is open to alternative "energy" therapies.

As to annoying threads......there have been many.  I guess the thread I enjoyed the most was any thread where Satu Peepee commented.  Everybody on here hated her and I thought she was hilariously funny.  She was offensive as hell....which is exactly what made it so funny.  I hated to see her go.  Everybody on here took her far too seriously.

any thread where someone gets on their high @$$ horse doing one of the following:
- “why did you start a new thread???” when the poor person is clearly new to the forum
- asks a simple question that can be answered by reading or searching
- multiple people start bullying and accusing someone of being the reader
- people start fighting over a reader’s accuracy WHEN EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION and the whole point of a forum is to have different POVs 🙄

Ok, one more — when someone says they have a trusted advisor that is the only one they now use and love them and they’re so accurate and they’re the best blah blah blah but won’t share the name because they don’t want their queue to get long and/or don’t want others to start using them and having opinions etc. THEN get mad people are sending them direct messages asking for the name.

B^*%#, YOU JUST POSTED ON A FORUM!!!! WHAT DID YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN?!?!

🤣😭🤣🤣🤣.  I hope that person sees that post too so obnoxious.

Yep this to me is a good one. The dangling carrot post.

100% yes! I’m glad you wrote this comment because I think this thread is a form of bullying. Having a post asking about the “most annoying threads” and having people mention certain users (indirectly) is definitely going to make people feel sad or bad about themselves. There is no need, especially with what we are going though as a collective at the moment. Spread love, instead of focusing on who annoys you on a psychic forum.

the reoccurring matilda thread...

100%.  But lost u I f bullying goes on here.  I love the supporting threads.  Sparkles update, yona is hit and miss and fabulous updates that someone is finally getting what they wanted.  Irrespective of the reader who predicted it.

I find this forum hot and miss depending on people’s moods.

Professor do you recognize you are the type I am talking about? Ive seen many threads where you actually do this and are rude to others. And im not saying it to hurt your feelings. Im saying it so we recognize, during low states, people being mean, can make things worse for people. Behind a screen or not. Its not ok to belittle or hurt others.

No, if you read my comment once again instead of being judgemental,as I always see you attacking others, you would see I am stating on threads that are being listed here calling specific users out who may not have searched for a thread correctly or started a new thread trying to figure out who to chose. It doesn't matter if this is a forum or support group or whatever you stated. Professor, you're always trying to get into it with people, or making assumptions about people, or starting stuff. And that is exactly what I am talking about. This may be a forum, but we are all going through something. My autonomy is to support others and show kindness
 Even on a "forum".

As for certain threads and expressing how it can be annoying is fine. I get that part.
My whole point was i noticed specific threads and users being called out. And i did not think that was kind or nice. Thats all I have to say. I have enough negativity in my life, and do not need more from you or your argumentative state of mind.

Support and kindness go a long way with people. Username or real name. Remember that.

You said you werent gonna go back and forth? Yet you are.... being argumentative... and I dont have to prove it to you. If you want to take the time to see where youve been rude or accusitory towards other users, you can search yourself. I have seen it. I'm not a child, I don't play games and am not threaten by your peacocking. I agree, you do have your own right to your own view. But my view is forum or not... I will be a voice for voiceless if i see rude or mean behavior not just a "debate". Screen, real world, fantasy land.
