@Notacrystalfreak If you wanted to get started some where I would look at learning platforms like LinkedIn Learning for the basics and then something like TryHackMe or Udemy. I do this for a living. Been in tech since 2017-ish. The market is going through some challenges right now with AI initiatives taking some lower/entry level roles. So I moved to an adjacent role, plus I freelance and consult on the side as well. Let me know how I can help.  You are welcome to message me anytime for any advice/support. Always happy to help.

Thank you!! First of all how did you go 5 years reading free? I could never do that. I always get a reading every 6 months or once a year. To me that’s healthy.

And basically I’ve got a degree in combined STEM. I was doing physics but third year was so hard and not fun that I decided to change to combined STEM. I thought I wanted to do data science so I picked related modules. I also signed up to a course in data science with Careerera. I’ve also done a software developer bootcamp but tbh I don’t want to be a software developer. I think network engineering will be more fun and more of a well defined role where you follow rules. Software development I don’t know how people do it, with 100 different languages, having to do detailed research whenever something doesn’t work out, yeah I did the bootcamp and I was so bad at the part where we had to make our own app. My team mates did most of it. Anyway I digress. I still loved coding though.

What area in tech do you work in? I’m grateful to have an Admin job until I actually figure out what I want to do.

I will have to message you privately. I went a bit radically extreme with my discipline with it.  ;D
